  • Manicotti pasta shells
  • Ricotta cheese
  • Mozzarella cheese
  • Parmesan cheese
  • Spinach
  • Italian seasoning
  • Red pepper flakes
  • Egg
  • Marinara sauce
  • Salt and pepper

How to Make 3-Cheese and Spinach-Stuffed Baked Manicotti

Ingredients for 3-Cheese and Spinach-Stuffed Baked Manicotti

    1. Preheat the oven to 350 F and cook the manicotti shells according to package instructions. Drain, rinse with water, and set aside.

    2. While the pasta is cooking, make the filling: in a bowl, mix the ricotta cheese, 1 cup shredded mozzarella, Parmesan cheese, spinach, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, egg, salt, and pepper until well combined.

    3. Spread one cup of marinara soup into the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish.

    4. Stuff the cooked manicotti with the cheese mixture and place in the baking dish.

    5. Pour the remaining cup of marinara sauce evenly over the manicotti.

    6. Sprinkle the remaining 2 cups of shredded mozzarella evenly on top, and bake for 30 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and melted. Serve with freshly chopped basil or parsley on top.

Yes, but bake it uncooked. Assemble the dish in an airtight container or disposable foil baking dish and freeze for up to three months. When ready to bake, place frozen in the oven and add 30 minutes to the cooking time.

If you have leftovers, let them cool down and place them in an airtight container and in the fridge for up to 3 days.

  • 16 oz full-fat ricotta cheese
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 3 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded and divided
  • 1 cup fresh spinach, chopped
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ tsp salt
  • Fresh ground black pepper to taste
  • 2 cups marinara sauce, divided
