Chicken Parmesan is a much-loved Italian-inspired dish. Normally, it’s breaded chicken breasts topped with tomato sauce and melted cheese, but this version of Chicken Parmesan baked spaghetti is made the easy way by using frozen breaded chicken patties and store-bought marinara sauce!

Ingredients for Chicken Parmesan Baked Spaghetti

  • Thin spaghetti
  • Marinara sauce
  • Italian seasoning
  • Parsley flakes
  • Red pepper flakes
  • Garlic powder
  • Shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Grated parmesan cheese
  • Frozen chicken patties
  • Salt and pepper

How to Make Chicken Parmesan Baked Spaghetti

    1. Spray a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking spray and preheat the oven to 375 F.

    2. Cook the spaghetti in a large pot of salted water until al dente according to package instructions. Drain and place in a large bowl.

    3. Stir in 36 oz marinara sauce (1 ½ bottles),  Italian seasoning, parsley flakes, red pepper flakes, garlic powder, and two cups of shredded mozzarella until well combined.

    4. Transfer spaghetti to the baking dish and place the chicken patties on top. Bake for 20 minutes or until the patties are hot and crispy.

    5. Remove from the oven and top the patties with the remaining sauce, parmesan cheese, and remaining one cup shredded mozzarella. Bake for an additional 15 mins or until the cheese is melted. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley.

Can I Freeze Chicken Parmesan Baked Spaghetti?

You can freeze the whole dish or individual portions and thaw as needed. Let it cool down to room temperature, place in airtight containers, and freeze for up to 3-4 months. When ready to enjoy, let it thaw in the refrigerator overnight and reheat in the microwave or oven. If using the oven, cover with foil and reheat in a 350 F oven until warm.

Leftovers keep fresh in the refrigerator for up to 3 days when stored in an airtight container.

I like to start the meal with cream of spinach soup, and serve with garlic bread and a side salad.
