Looking for a recipe that will satisfy both kids and adults? These Chicken Parmesan Sliders on Hawaiian rolls are the perfect solution to your dinner dilemma. While Chicken Parmesan is always a hit, turning it into sliders takes it to the next level!
These sliders are easy to make and incredibly tasty. The best part? You don’t have to start from scratch! Using frozen breaded chicken tenders and store-bought marinara sauce makes this meal quick and effortless, allowing you to spend more time with your family instead of in the kitchen.
Do I Cook the Chicken Before Adding It to the Sliders?
Yes, although the chicken tenders are pre-cooked, you’ll need to heat them before assembling the sliders to ensure they’re warm and ready when they come out of the oven.
How to Make Chicken Parmesan Sliders:
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F. Cook the chicken tenders according to the package instructions (either by baking or pan-frying).
2. Slice the Hawaiian rolls horizontally without separating them, and place the bottom half in a greased casserole dish.
3. Layer the rolls with cheese, then bake until the cheese is melted.
4. Spoon marinara sauce over the melted cheese.
5. Add a layer of chicken tenders on top of the marinara.
6. Spoon more marinara over the chicken tenders.
7. Add another layer of cheese.
8. Place the top half of the rolls back on.
9. Melt the butter and mix it with garlic powder and chili flakes. Brush this mixture over the top of the rolls, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, and bake for 15 minutes until golden brown. Garnish with chopped fresh basil before serving.
Can I Make Chicken Parmesan Sliders Ahead of Time?
Absolutely! You can even freeze them. Assemble the sliders as directed, but skip adding the garlic butter and Parmesan cheese on top. Store them in the refrigerator or freezer without baking.
When you’re ready to serve, thaw the sliders in the fridge overnight if frozen, and allow them to sit at room temperature for 30 minutes before baking. Add the garlic butter and Parmesan cheese, then bake as instructed. If refrigerated, don’t keep them for more than three days before baking.
What to Serve with Chicken Sliders?
Pair these sliders with a simple side salad, steamed vegetables, or carrot and celery sticks with ranch dressing. Adding some greens and veggies will complete the meal.
