Ingredients Required:
- Sugar: To get the perfect amount of sweetness and depth, we utilize both brown and white granulated sugar.
- Butter: Since melted butter solidifies quickly, it must be used.
- Eggs: They serve as our uniting factor. An eggless version is available by using 1/4 cup of unsweetened applesauce.
- Vanilla: Our cookies taste better thanks to this unidentified flavor enhancer. Vanilla extract functions flawlessly.
These leavening ingredients:
- Baking powder and soda – make sure our cookies are soft.
- Salt: A necessary ingredient for all baked goods, salt helps cut through the sweetness and brings out the flavors.
For this recipe, I used semi-sweet chocolate chips, but you may use any kind you choose, even chocolate chunks! Be bold and add your preferred mix-ins-nuts, M&Ms, peanut butter chips-the possibilities are endless.
- For this recipe, I used all-purpose flour. You can substitute gluten free flour at a ratio of 1:1 if you’re gluten free.
How to Prepare Cookies with Chocolate Chips
1. Mix the dry ingredients together: In a bowl, stir together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt; put aside.
2. Prepare the cookie dough: Cream together the sugars and melted butter using a mixer fitted with a paddle attachment until frothy and light, about 3 to 5 minutes. Slow down, stir in the eggs, and then pour in the vanilla. Add the dry ingredients gradually and stir until just mixed. Use a spatula instead of your mixer to avoid over mixing.
3. Prepare the cookies for baking: By hand, fold in chocolate chips. Preheat oven to 375°F when ready to bake. If the dough is refrigerated, take it out of the fridge and let it reach room temperature. Spoon 2 to 3 teaspoons (or spoonfuls) of dough onto baking sheet. Bake for ten to twelve minutes.

How to Keep Extra Cookies?
If you keep these chocolate chip cookies at room temperature in an airtight container, they will keep for two to three weeks! By doing this, you can make sure the cookies stay soft and won’t go hard. To keep them soft, add a slice of bread if you don’t have an airtight container. It functions in the same manner as brown sugar.

Are They Freezable?
Freezing chocolate chip cookies is a great idea. You have two options: wrap each one separately or group them in an airtight container. Simply reheat them in the oven to re-enjoy them after three months in the freezer.

CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES
There are few things in life more comforting than the aroma of freshly baked chocolate chip cookies wafting through the kitchen. These classic treats have a universal appeal, bringing smiles to faces young and old alike.
Ingredients
- 2½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup butter unsalted, melted
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar packed light
- 2 medium eggs room temperature
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups chocolate chips or chunks
Instructions
- Combine the dry ingredients: Mix together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a bowl, then set aside.
- Prepare the cookie dough: In a mixer with a paddle attachment, beat the melted butter and sugars until they are light and fluffy, which should take 3 to 5 minutes. Lower the speed and incorporate the eggs, followed by the vanilla extract. Gradually add the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined. To prevent overmixing, switch to a spatula instead of continuing with the mixer.
- Bake the cookies: Gently fold in the chocolate chips by hand. When you're ready to bake, preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). If the dough has been chilled, let it sit at room temperature until it softens. Drop spoonfuls (approximately 2–3 tablespoons) of dough onto a baking sheet. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes.
- Allow the cookies to cool on a wire rack before serving.
