Cruffins are a mix between a muffin and a croissant. They sound really hard to make, but you’ll see how easy they are to make using refrigerated, store bought crescent roll dough sheets. No complicated dough making!
These crispy, cinnamony 4-ingredient delights take about 40 minutes to make and all you have to do is sit back and watch them disappear before your eyes!

- Refrigerated crescent roll sheets
- Unsalted butter
- Granulated sugar
- Ground cinnamon
How to Make Cruffins Recipe
1. Spray a 12-cup muffin tin with cooking spray and preheat the oven to 350 F.
2. In a medium-sized bowl, mix the sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg until well combined.
3. Carefully remove each sheet of crescent rolls and place on a lightly floured surface.
4. Roll each sheet into a 12×16-inch rectangle using a rolling pin.
5. Spread 2 tbsp of the softened unsalted butter evenly over each sheet, covering the whole surface.
6. Sprinkle ¼ cup of cinnamon sugar evenly over each buttered sheet, and save the rest.
7. Staring on the long side, roll each sheet into a log as tightly as you can.
8. Cut each log in half to make two logs.
9. With a sharp knife, cut each of the short logs lengthwise creating 4 sections. Pinch the ends and work with one section at a time so they don’t unravel.
10. With the layered side facing out, roll each section tightly into a cinnamon roll shape, tucking in the end piece.
11. Place each cruffin into one of the muffin cups and bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
12. Remove the cruffins from the oven, roll each one into the reserved cinnamon sugar and serve!
How to Store Cruffins?
You can store cruffins in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. They need to be stored in an airtight container so they stay soft and not dry out!
Can I Freeze Cruffins?
Absolutely! You can make two batches, let them cool down completely, and place them in individual freezer bags so you can take out one at a time. Cruffins can be frozen for up to 2 months. To enjoy, let them thaw out in the refrigerator or out on the counter.
