How to Make Wendy’s Chili
1. Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat until no longer pink. Transfer to the pot of your slow cooker.
2. Add the chopped onion, celery, bell pepper, garlic, pinto beans, and red kidney beans.
3. Pour in the tomato juice and tomato puree. Add the chili powder, cumin, oregano, red pepper flakes, dried parsley, salt, pepper, and sugar. Mix until well combined and cook on low for 6 hours or on high for 4.
Can I Freeze Wendy’s Chili?
This is the perfect make ahead meal. Chili freezes extremely well. This recipe makes a large batch, so you can make it and freeze half or all of it. Let the chili come to room temperature before placing it in an airtight container or freezer bag and freezing it for up to 4 months.
When ready to serve, transfer it to the refrigerator overnight and reheat in a pot over the stovetop or in the microwave.
Your leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 4 days when stored in an airtight container.

- 1 cup onion, chopped
- ½ cup celery, diced
- ½ cup green bell pepper, diced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 15 oz can red kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 15 oz can pinto beans, drained and rinsed
- 4 cups tomato juice
- 29 oz tomato puree
- 3 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- ½ tsp dried oregano
- ½ tsp red pepper flakes
- 2 tsp salt
- Ground black pepper to taste
- ½ tsp sugar
