- Using a rubber spatula fold in the chopped apples and nuts.

- Make the Dutch topping: using a pastry knife or two forks, combine the chopped cold butter, light brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and flour until crumbly. Sprinkle evenly over the batter, and bake for 55-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
- Let the bread cool down for 15 minutes in the pan, then invert into a cooking rack and let it cool down completely.
- While the bread is cooling down, make the glaze: whisk the melted butter, milk, vanilla extract, and powdered sugar until smooth. Drizzle over the top of the bread.
Can I Use A Different Type of Apples?
Absolutely! You can use your favorite apples or the ones you have on hand, like Fuji or Pink Lady. Green apples are tart, so they counterbalance the sweetness in the bread. The softest apples like Golden Delicious might fall apart when baked, so try to avoid them.
How to Store Dutch Apple Bread Recipe?
This bread can be kept in an airtight container at room temperature for a couple of days. If you plan to keep it for more than 3 days, wrap it with two layers of plastic wrap and refrigerate it for up to 5 days. You can also freeze it for up to three months.
Before freezing or refrigerating, make sure the bread has cooled down completely before wrapping it.
