Ingredients for Baked Tortellini with Meat Sauce
- Olive oil for sauteing the onion and garlic.
- Onion and garlic. Always the flavor-infusing combo for most savory recipes.
- Ground beef. Always drain the fat off the meat after browning it.
- Pasta sauce. Use your favorite pasta sauce or marinara sauce. You need a 24 oz jar.
- Cream cheese to make the sauce extra creamy. This recipe calls for 8 oz but you can use less if you want less calories in your tortellini bake.
- Italian seasoning for extra flavor. Use oregano and basil if you don’t have it.
- Refrigerated cheese tortellini. You can use dry but you have to cook them before adding them to the sauce. If you are using refrigerated, you can add them as they are.
- Shredded mozzarella. You can either use pre-shredded cheese for ease, or shred it yourself for best results and flavor.
- Grated Parmesan to finish the dish. You can grate it yourself for the best quality and melt factor.
- Salt and pepper. Add them to taste according to your liking.
