Homemade Cinnamon Sugar Pecans
Quick and easy snack to liven up your holiday table. You don't have to use pecans, you can replace them with almonds or mix the two.
Ingredients
- 1 pound of pecans or almonds (or mixed)
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1 tablespoon of ground cinnamon
- 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
- 1 egg white
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 2 teaspoons of water
Instructions
- Cover your baking pan in foil or parchment paper, and turn on your oven to 250 F.
- In a ziploc bag, combine your salt, sugar, and cinnamon.
- In a bowl, beat your vanilla, water, and egg while using a fork until foamy.
- Place your almonds or pecans into the egg mixture and mix until fully covered.
- Transfer your pecans into the sugar ziploc bag, and thoroughly cover them in your mix by shaking them around.
- Arrange them in your baking pan without stacking them.
- Cook in your preheated oven for an hour, while mixing each 15
minutes. - Give them a taste and see if you can resist having more.
