Peanut Butter Balls with Rice Krispies are a scrumptious dessert that is sure to please. The crunchy texture of Rice Krispies is sure to make these a holiday favorite. This recipe is easy to make and requires only 5 ingredients. It’s a classic favorite that everyone in our family loves, and I often make double batches because everyone loves it!

Ingredients needed for peanut butter balls

  • salted butter
  • creamy no stir peanut butter
  • rice krispies cereal
  • semi sweet chocolate chips: or substitute melting wafers
  • sugar ( powdered )

How to make peanut butter balls with rice krispies

Step 1: Combine the peanut butter with the melted butter using either the stand mixer or the hand mixer until smooth.

Step 2: Add Rice Krispies until well mixed. Then add powdered sugar. When it becomes too hard to mix, mix again by hand with a rubber spatula.

Step 3: Line a baking tray with baking paper. Using a cookie scoop, drop peanut butter balls onto the baking sheet.(Use your hands to form the dough into a ball. Place the Peanut Butter Rice Krispie Ball in the refrigerator and chill for at least 30 minutes.This will make it less sticky and easier to dip into the melted chocolate.)

Step 4: Melt the semi-sweet chocolate chips in the microwave every 20-30 seconds until they’re smooth. (Draw the peanut butter balls into the melted chocolate, then place them back on the lined baking sheet.)

Step 5: Put the balls back in the fridge and let the chocolate harden.

How to store

  • Store the peanut butter balls in an airtight bag or containerin the refrigerator once solidified . This recipe can also be frozen. So if you have any leftovers, put them in the freezer.
  • It’s a great way to make Christmas recipes ahead of time and freeze them for a week or two until you’re ready to eat them.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of creamy no stir peanut butter
  • 3 tablespoons of melted salted butter
  • 1 cup of sugar ( powdered )
  • 2 ½ cups of rice krispies cereal
  • 12 oz of Semi sweet chocolate chips or chocolate melting wafers

Instructions

  1. Using a stand mixer or hand mixer, combine peanut butter and melted butter
  2. Add Rice Krispies until well mixed.
  3. Mix to combine after adding the powdered sugar
  4. When it becomes difficult to mix, use a rubber spatula to finish mixing.
  5. Line a baking tray with baking paper
  6. Using a cookie scoop, drop peanut butter balls onto baking sheet
  7. Using your hands, roll the batter into balls and put in the fridge for around 30 minutes to chill and harden
  8. Use the microwave to melt the chocolate until smooth
  9. Dip Rice Krispie peanut butter balls in chocolate and return to baking sheet
  10. Chill until solid
  11. Store leftover peanut butter balls in the freezer for weeks or an airtight container for days
