- Thin-sliced chicken breasts
- Salt and pepper
- Olive oil
- Garlic
- Heavy cream
- Chicken broth
- Italian seasoning
- Red pepper flakes
- Parmesan cheese
- Spinach
- Sun dried tomatoes
How to Make Tuscan Garlic Chicken
1. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
2. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and brown the chicken breasts for 3-5 minutes on each side, until fully cooked. Transfer to a plate and keep warm.
3. Add the garlic to the same skillet and cook on medium heat for 30 seconds.
4. Stir in the heavy cream, chicken broth, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, and Parmesan cheese. Simmer until slightly thick, about 3 minutes.
5. Mix in the spinach and sun dried tomatoes and simmer until the spinach wilts, about 3 minutes.
6. Return the chicken breasts to the skillet and simmer until warm, about one minute. Serve over freshly cooked pasta or rice.
Can I Freeze Tuscan Garlic Chicken?
Creamy sauces don’t thaw well after freezing. The fat in the cream separates, so the texture of the sauce will not be the same. If you want to freeze this dish, let it cool down and store in an airtight container for up to 3 months, but know the texture of the sauce might not be the same.
You can store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the microwave.

- 4 thin-cut boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tsp salt, divided
- Ground black pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil, divided
- 2 garlic cloves, finely minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ cup chicken broth
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- ½ tsp red pepper flakes
- 1 cup spinach, chopped
- ½ cup sun dried tomatoes, drained and chopped
Instructions
- Season the chicken breasts with ½ tsp salt and pepper on both sides.
- Heat one tbsp oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and brown the chicken breasts for 3-5 minutes on each side, until fully cooked. Transfer to a plate and keep warm.
- Add the remaining tbsp of oil to the skillet saute the garlic for 30 seconds.
- Stir in the heavy cream, chicken broth, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, and Parmesan cheese. Simmer until slightly thick, about 3 minutes.
- Mix in the spinach and sun dried tomatoes and simmer until the spinach wilts, about 3 minutes. Check the seasoning and add the remaining ½ tsp salt, if needed.
- Return the chicken breasts to the skillet and simmer until warm, about one minute. Serve over freshly cooked pasta or rice.
