My family loves to have it for game or movie night over nachos or just as a dip.

Ingredients for Slow Cooker Crack Chicken Recipe

  • Ranch seasoning mix to flavor the chicken. It has the perfect blend of herbs and spices.
  • Chicken broth. Just half a cup to help cook the chicken and form a sauce with the cream cheese.
  • Boneless, skinless chicken breasts. You can also use chicken thighs if you prefer dark meat.
  • Hot sauce is optional for a little spice kick. You can also use crushed red pepper flakes.
  • Cream cheese makes the sauce creamy. Use it at room temperature.
  • Cheddar cheese, Mexican cheese blend, Monterey Jack, Pepper Jack, or your favorite cheese.
  • Real Bacon Bits for a smoky meaty bite and convenience. You can also use freshly cooked and crumbled bacon. 
  • Fresh parsley adds a touch of color and freshness to the finished dish.

How to Make Creamy Slow Cooker Crack Chicken Recipe

    1. Mix the chicken broth with the ranch seasoning mix in the pot of the slow cooker.

    2. Place the chicken breasts and hot sauce in the pot with the chicken broth mixture. Cook the chicken on low for 5 hours, or on high for 2 to 3.

    3. 30 minutes before the cooking time is over, shred the cooked chicken using two forks and add the cream cheese and half the shredded cheddar. Mix everything and cook until the sauce is creamy and smooth.

    4. Unplug the slow cooker and top with the remaining cup of shredded cheddar. Place the lid on and let the cheese melt for 5-10 minutes.

    5. Serve with the bacon bits and chopped fresh parsley on top. Serve as a dip or over cooked pasta or rice.

Can I Freeze Crack Chicken?

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp ranch seasoning mix
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • 1 lb skinless, boneless chicken breasts
  • 1 tbsp hot sauce (your favorite)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, room temperature and cubed
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded and divided
  • ⅓ cup Bacon Bits
  • 2 tbsp parsley, chopped (for garnish)
