How To Melt Almond Bark

Your almond bark will likely melt faster if you cut it into little portions.

Melt your chocolate in the microwave on 50% for 3 minutes in a bowl, mix it, and fully melt.

How To Melt Caramel Squares

Put your caramel in a microwave bowl (1 and 1/4 cups in you’re using caramel bits)

Drizzle 1 to 2 tablespoons of heavy cream or water over it and melt in your microwave on 50% power for a minute. Mix and microwave until melted for another minute.

Cut your turtle bark into small pieces prior to storing it in the freezer. Stack into 4 piles and cover individually with plastic wrap and foil, then put them in your freezer bag.

Transfer as many as you’d like in your fridge to defrost through the night. You are safe to uncover them once defrosted.

Ingredients

  • 20 to 2 ounce package chocolate almond bark
  • 1 and 1/4 cups of caramel bits, or 25 caramel squares
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons of heavy cream or water
  • Whole pecans (slice some of them)

Instructions

  1. Cover your baking pan with wax paper, a silicone mat, or parchment paper.
  2. To quickly melt your almond bark, cut it into little pieces beforehand and transfer it to a bowl.
  3. Put your bowl in the microwave on 50% power for 3 minutes, then mix. Stick it back in your microwave for an extra 1 to 2 minutes. If still hard, microwave for 30 seconds at a time until smooth. Make sure your chocolate stays runny while you melt the caramel by continuously stirring it.
  4. Drizzle 1 to 2 tablespoons of heavy cream or water over it and melt in your microwave on 50% power for a minute. Mix and microwave until melted for another minute.
  5. When serving, side with 1/4 cup of melted chocolate to add over top.
  6. Drizzle your chocolate over the pan, distributing it evenly using a spatula. Scoop
    up portions of your caramel and drip them over your bark. Using your spatula or a butter knife, spin the caramel and chocolate together. Place in your pecans. Then pour the leftover chocolate on top.
  7. Let your bark set for 2 to 3 hours at room temperature. Once hardened, separate the pieces using a knife. Keep in a sealed container.
