Ingredients

  • 1 pounds of carrots
  • 1 cup of water
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 3 tablespoons of brown sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon of salt
  • ⅛ teaspoon of ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon of freshly minced parsley

Instructions

  1. Take the peel off 1 pound of carrots and cut into ½-inch slices.
  2. Transfer to a frying pan along with a cup of water. Boil for 10 minutes until your carrots are soft. Take the pan off the heat and dump the water.
  3. Place the pan back on the stove over medium heat. Season with 1/8 teaspoon of ground black pepper, ¼ teaspoon of salt, 3 tablespoons of brown sugar, 2 tablespoons of butter. Stir to blend. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes, while continuously mixing. Once the glaze is nice and thick, turn the heat off.
  4. Finish off with the minced parsley. Combine and enjoy as a side dish or as a snack with a dip.
