HOW DO YOU MAKE THIS CLASSIC PIE?

    1. Begin by preparing the refrigerated or frozen pie crust following the packaging instructions.

    2. In a bowl, sift the cocoa powder, flour, and sugar together.

    3. Get the yolks separated from three eggs and mix with the dry components. See below for hacks.

HOW DO YOU MAKE THIS CLASSIC CHOCOLATE PIE?

    4. Then, gradually pour in the milk and keep mixing.

    5. Place your mix in a saucepan on medium heat and cool until thickened. Now turn the heat off and mix in the vanilla extract.

    6. Pour into the cooked pie crust and cool in the fridge for 2 to 24 hours.

    7. Finish up with some whipped cream on top and enjoy!

This Old Fashioned Chocolate Cocoa Pie recipe is a creamy chocolate heaven. With only seven ingredients this cocoa pie is ready in just minutes.

Ingredients

  • 6 tablespoons of flour
  • 3 tablespoons of cocoa powder
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 2 cups of milk
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Following the packaging instructions, cook your refrigerated or frozen pie crust.
  2. Sift the sugar, flour, and cocoa powder together in a bowl.
  3. Whisk the dry components with the egg yolks.
  4. Now, gradually mix in the milk small portions at a time.
  5. Throw the mix into your saucepan and place over medium heat until thickened.
  6. Turn the heat off and stir in the vanilla extract.
