Ingredients For Roasted Cauliflower :

Ingredients For Roasted Cauliflower :

  • Cauliflower – Avoid frozen cauliflower, get a fresh medium cauliflower head.
  • Butter – Helps the breading latch onto your cauliflower, and gets your florets nicely brown.
  • Garlic – You can either use garlic powder or fresh garlic for added flavor while roasting.
  • Bread crumbs – Plain ones work just fine, you can also make them at home, or use panko or italian style breadcrumbs.
  • Parmesan cheese – For added cheesy deliciousness and crispness.

How to make roasted cauliflower?

How to make roasted cauliflower?

    1. Separate your cauliflower florets evenly. For the ones that are too big, cut them in half.

    2. Before roasting your cauliflower, you can either drizzle it with a bit of melted butter or olive oil, pepper your breading mix on top, and carefully toss until coated, which is the technique I use when making my The Best Roasted Broccoli recipe. Or you can go for the dipping method I use in my Baked Artichoke Hearts recipe, by submerging the cauliflower florets in melted butter, then in your breading mix.

How long does it take to roast cauliflower in the oven?

Your oven time is based on the size of your cauliflower. The preheating will be at 400 F, taking 25 to 27 minutes if your cauliflower is separated, and 40 to 50 minutes if you keep it whole, depending on the size. However, cauliflower steaks bake in 15 minutes.

Helpful Tips For Roasted Cauliflower!

  • Separate your cauliflower into florets, for them to cook evenly.
  • One way to make the coating easier is to place your cauliflower in a ziploc bag with some melted butter, thoroughly shaking it until incorporated, then repeating the same process with the breading mixture, and transferring it to a baking pan.
  • For that hot wing spice, pour a few drops of hot sauce on top of your cauliflower after it’s done baking.

Can I make this dish in an air fryer?

Definitely, your air fryer needs to be preheated to 400 F, then pop your cauliflower in for 15 minutes. Air fryers evidently shorten the roasting time, so make sure not to overstack your basket to allow the air to flow around the florets.
