This delicious treat of peanut clusters is a simple crockpot recipe rich in chocolate and coated peanuts, it’s absolute perfection especially during the holidays. Quick and easy, ideal for those days you’re in the mood to bake. There’s nothing better than sweet snacks all throughout December, from Reese’s Fudge to Gingerbread Men cookies, give me all the treats! These peanut clusters are a good change, since they’re quite straightforward to make.

What is a Peanut Cluster

This is a clump made out of peanuts perfectly coated in chocolate. Feel free to use any type and kind of peanuts, chocolate, and peanut butter you prefer. Melt them all together, then transfer into a baking tray or mini muffin cups for convenience. Make sure your mini clumps of peanuts and chocolate are well combined.

How to Make Peanut Clusters

    1. Throw your chocolate into the crockpot. This recipe uses a bag of dark chocolate mixed with another one of semi-sweet chocolate. Blend it by adding some white chocolate or milk, whatever you prefer.

    2. Incorporate the peanut butter and peanuts.

    3. There’s no need to stir. Make sure you set it on low heat and cover it for 60 minutes. Afterwards, you can mix it all together. Cover again and mix in 15-minute intervals until fully softened.

    4. To make it easier for yourself, I recommend using a cookie scoop. Transfer to a mini muffin pan or baking sheet both covered in parchment paper. Allow it to set until the chocolate is hardened. To jazz it up, garnish with some holiday sprinkled while still warm.

    5. Keep these peanut clusters in a chilled place to maintain their shape and not fall apart.

Of course you can. When your clusters have set, lay them out in a sealed container then store them in the freezer for about 4 months. When you refrigerate them, take them out a couple of minutes before they’re ready to serve to preserve them from melting.

What Kind of Peanuts Do You Use for Peanut Clusters

I recommend using cocktail peanuts or dry roasted peanuts. Feel free to use a mix of both or just use one. I wouldn’t use the honey roasted kind; the chocolate is already sweet enough.

Ingredients

  • 12-ounce bag of dark chocolate chips (or milk chocolate)
  • 12-ounce bag of semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup of creamy peanut butter
  • 16-ounce container of dry roasted peanuts

Instructions

  1. In the slow cooker, throw in all your components, put in on low heat and simmer for an hour. Then with a spatula, mix until everything is blended. Put the lid on and let cook until fully melted, making sure to mix every 15 minutes.
  2. Separate into clumps the size of a tablespoon and place on a baking sheet covered in parchment paper.
  3. Allow to harden before enjoying.
  4. Refrigerate in a sealed container to preserve.
